Revelation 1:5–6

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Scripture Reading – Psalm 94

Jesus Christ, the faithful witness and King of kings, loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood. Revelation 1:7 declares, “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him. Even so. Amen.” One day, Jesus will return to set all things right. Until that day, we live in the freedom He purchased, knowing He has made us a kingdom and priests to serve God. This truth reshapes our identity and gives purpose to our lives—we are not just forgiven, but commissioned to reflect His reign in a world still waiting for redemption. Psalm 94 echoes this, showing God as both refuge and judge. In a world of injustice and uncertainty, we stand not as victims of chaos but as those redeemed for royal service. Christ’s love defines us, His authority secures us, and His calling commissions us to live for His glory.

This Sunday we will sing together “Who You Say I Am,” which proclaims our adoption into God’s family, affirming the truth of Revelation 1:6. “Man of Sorrows” leads us to the cross where that freedom was purchased. “Holy, Holy, Holy” reminds us of God’s unchanging holiness and worthiness of praise, while “How Firm a Foundation” grounds our confidence in His promises. Together, these songs shape our faith by uniting who God is with what He has done for us—anchoring our identity in grace and His steadfast character rather than our circumstances.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and freeing me from my sins by Your blood. Remind me daily that I belong to You—that I am part of Your kingdom and called to serve with joy and purpose. When I am weary or afraid, strengthen my faith and help me rest in the foundation of Your unchanging love. Amen.
